Sensitivity to a fellow man is the inner quality of our person and the ability of our spirit. When it disappears, many a sadness occur first at our personal and then social level. Jesus showed us that far more important than any material gift is giving ourselves to each other. There can te no progress for the better in our society as long as people do not become gift and blessing to each other. Therefore, I would like to remind all the participants of the event organized by the Osunde Foundation, in order to underline the commitment for the lives of persons with disabilities, that God himself chose this path in his Son Jesus Christ, and by taking human body he gave himself for us on the cross and with his divine love joined in our suffering, to bestow on US the gift of the fullness of life
LUCIUS UGORJI
Archbishop of Owerri President, CBCN
I am pleased to note that you consistently brought Jesus message to people with disabilities. Thus, your Foundation has played a significant role in society by emphasising the human dignity of the disabled. Your Foundation's dedication to the service of humanity is a response to Jesus' command to his disciples, as stated in the gospel of Mathew 14:16; "They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat." For a considerable number of years, your Foundation has been putting smiles on the faces of people living with disability across Nigeria. Every Easter Monday, your Foundation brings people living with disabilities to, in a unique way, experience the joy of the resurrection.
